The Golden Eagle Baseball team traveled to Jasper, IN and played the Cathedral Irish in the regional match up. The game was tightly played. It was tied at 1 until the 6th inning when the Golden Eagles would drive in 3, making it 4 - 1. The Irish would return by scoring 3 runs as well, tying the game again at 4 - 4. The game would head into extra innings in which Karson Smith '26 would hit a walk off single. The Golden Eagles would defeat the Irish 5 - 4. This is the first Regional Championship in school history for the Golden Eagles. The Golden Eagles are headed back to Jasper this weekend to play New Palestine at 11:00 AM in game 1 of a 2 game Semi State tournament. If the Golden Eagles won, they would face the winner of the Greensburg Jasper game, played at 2:00 PM. The Semi State Championship is slated to start at 7:00 PM. Good Luck Golden Eagle Baseball!!!
