The Guerin Catholic Boys Lacrosse team, ranked #1 in latest Class 1A rankings, closed out the regular season with a resounding victory against Circle City Conference rivals, the Brebeuf Jesuit Braves by a score of 18-1. Junior Gavin Soucie, the state's leading scorer, added 6 goals while Senior Vinny Elliott had 5 goals and 3 assists. Gabe Berglund continued his strong senior campaign by winning 70% of faceoffs while Magnus Mertes was perfect in his goalie duties. With the win, the program has added to the proud tradition of GC Boys Lacrosse - a 5th conference trophy in 9 years. The Golden Eagles will begin state tournament play on Saturday, May 23rd with an opponent TBD.
